my son wants me to put on some apes on his 05 883 and we just wanted to see sum pics ,and any cable changes ,costs, stuff like that.hes likin the zbars, 8'" or 12" dunno yet

 

These bars are the apes that where used on late 90's WideGlide and are about 10" tall.
You do need new cables.

 

10" z bars, extended wiring on the left control, new brake line, all other cables stock.

brake line,throttles and wires longer

 

10" mini apes on the stock 4" risers w/ pullback.
I'm in the process now of redoing the speedo mount by using the 1200Low setup, 1' risers and 16" apes.

 

I have Khrome Werks "Narrow Glide" 12 inch apes on my 1200L...

 

I like that low ....very nice

 

I went with 10.5" Mini's off of a wide glide, got them free from a friend so that saved some cash. But had to buy new cables, brake lines, and had to extend the wiring. Not too tough of a job. The ride position will matter if its an 883L or 883C. The risers on the customs are about 6 inches tall. Any questions just IM me
