Your using too much oil if that much is coming off your filter. The filter should be more pink to red. If you spray your filter,a lite mist and let it soak for an hour. Then go back and see if you have any white areas to touch up.

thanks hog but after hearing your explanation i agree with longblack1, sounds like you're using way too much.

Nope, I'm not using too much filter oil. I've been using K&N filters for years. The oil only comes off when I get caught in the downpours.
