Default Changing handlebars on a Custom

I found a drag style bar from Licks that I really like.
http://www.lickscycles.com/catalog/p...oducts_id=1831

Now my bike has the speedo and indicators mounted on the upper bar clamp. They fit in a way where the mounting points are actually molded into the clamp as one piece.

Has anyone does this swap? If so, what did you do to get around this, other than deleting the speedo and indicators?

I have on '07 1200C. I just used standard drag bars (The handlebar tube without risers) and used the stock risers. It works great and can then use the stock speedo without any mods. The only thing was changing cables and such to compensate for the shorter bars. By using the bars you're looking at, you will have to do some sort of custom mount, or go with a custom speedo.

Get with Joker Machine and order their sporty speedo relocation mount in brushed alum with clear coat. It clamps to the upper left fork tube and includes all idiot lights. The mount allows you to configure it just like stock wiring.

From there you can go with absolutely any risers / bars your heart desires.

J&P sells the Joker Machine speedo mount for $204 if you are a Gold Club member

I recently installed it and can't say enuff good stuff about it.....I'm fixing to buy another for my radical XL1200 with RSD apes. Take a peek in my albums that link off my sig in blue below to see for yourself.

You can also oreder the gauge mount that is on the 1200 Low.
I'm changing out my mini apes for 18's on 2 inch risers. I'll order
that mount to relocate the speedo and idiot lights.
