I do run the K & N element in my SE air cleaner. Works well.

I have 7,000 miles on my SE kit with a K&N filter with no issues at all.

I have had mine for a long time.No problems so far.I did get a back plate where the nuts inside had come loose from the plastic.I couldn't tighten the screws that held the chrome can on the outside. The dealer had one laying around and gave it to me for free. It was there fault for overtightening the screw to begin with. I also use the K&N air filter air

The SE A/C was on the bike when I got it. No problems during my time, and I just went to the K&N filter this week.

I've got the S/E aircleaner on my bike and have had it there since 2005. No problems whatsoever. Bike runs like a bat out of hell with one smooth ***** of a motor :-)

I've had two bikes both with SEs and K&Ns. The only issues I had were the cheap screws HD uses to mount into the carb. They siezed up and in three months time I had a tough time getting them back out when I wanted. Stainless steel screws solved that. The big breather bolts should have thread-lock on them. BTW I though the SEs came complete with K&Ns. (?)

Good to know, thanks. I ordered the K & N for the used kit that I bought. Gonna order the Fuel Moto Efi Tuner soon.

An even better choice is the Screaming Eagle Heavy Breather. It has a small well designed metal backing plate that is super easy to install. There is also NO WAY for any of the three mounting screws to get sucked in if they work loose.

Already have the kit, so too late for that.
