I bought a 04 xl in June and love it. The only people I have taken any crap about it being a girls bike are on japan bikes. Harley riders usually complement me on it or ask questions about the new models. Anyway Evil Knievel and Elvis rode sportsters so thats manly enough for me.

 

Don't be concerned with some dumb *** and their stupid comments. Most of these people that make those sorts of derogatory comments are pretty low on class anyhow. What you need to do is only let us fellow Harley riders keep you informed about your standing in the biker world....well, maybe not.

Just ride your bike and forget about it. Are you enjoying it? Then disregard any and all stupid comments about you and your bike. ( I personally would yank those ****** off their rice and kick their asses, but that was yesterday, today I just forget about it... HA!)

I'm new to this whole game, but when my old man ran with some of the more hardcore crowds, noone gave the guys on sportsters ****, . . .except for when they had to stop for gas every hundred miles.

My little sportys got more power than I know what to do with, and none of the extra crap I don't want.

 

Wow did you say "doinks"? Thats one of my favorite words and everyone looks at me funny when I use it...kudos!

 

Do they look at you funny when you say "kudos" too?

 

I still hear guys who ride the big bikes call the Sportster a "skirtster". Really bugs me since I have my heart set on a 1200 Custom.
