Question Liquid Cooled Sportster wetdream, good idea?

OK here we got a Harley Davidson division thats been shut down in Buell, Buells been the sportster trailblazer bar none and has done a magnificent job of advancing the sportster line.
Buell had a liquid cooled 1125cc bike that was a couple grand apart in retail price from the 1200 Sportsters and that Sportster sized 1125cc liquid cooled driveline was in the 140hp range stock or well over a 100hp on a bad day in bad shape.
Do you think a 1125cc liquid cooled Sportster would be a good bike?

you missed the point of the post, right over your head man.
a Vrod is a bike in the big twin price range and a fine bike it is.
the 1200 sportster and the buell 1125cc sold in the same price range and the 1125cc liquid cooled driveline is an already developed driveline thats ready to go at no ground up R&D investment needed. it was designed to be the same size range as a 1200 driveline and with frame design mods would be a quick n cheap quantum leap that would leap frog the VMAX in everyway and still carry a low affordable price.

+1 to that.

IMO, going to EFI was already too much for the Sportster. Why add more components and wiring? It's a bike, not a car.

This story is old news ... dates back to 2006. If you do a search you will find a couple threads on this subject. The prototype looks like a small version of a v-rod.

There's a bike at our shop that belongs to a customer, its gotta Redneck engineering frame and an xb12r motor...its not put together yet but its gonna be wicked fast...i'd defiately put that same motor in my nightster
