Liquid cooled Sporty would not be accepted in most of the Harley community. The vRod is proof of that.

No thank you.

Always hated the look of that big ol' radiator on a bike.

I'm with ya on this will227457. It WILL be a fact of life that the purists will have to deal with. The EPA will phase out the air cooled engine completely in the years to come. Especially with stock displacements on big twins getting bigger and heat becoming more of an issue, we will see it sooner rather than later.
And just think how cool it will be when you have to check the radiator fluid in your push mower!

I would prefer the Sporty retain its lean look, but it's a fact that liquid-cooled engines are coming for the other bikes. As long as there is an EPA, it's a fact.

But I've seen Harleys in stuck traffic on I-45 here in Houston and wonder how they ever survive. Maybe that's engineered in with loose tolerances and such. But the heat has to be brutal -- esp. on the newer bikes.

I don't have a problem with liquid cooling but I think Vrods are hideous and they in no way compare to a Buell.Just about any Buell would be faster, better handling and better looking than the Vrod.Would I like a Sporty with a 140hp liquid cooled rotax motor in it? hell yea.In fact I'd like my Street Bob a hell of allot more with 140hp.

Nope, not me. Radiators are for cages.
