The only experience I have with Icon is their high-vis vest because I'm forced to wear high-vis stuff. It was nice and well made, didn't care for the useless ID holder everyone that makes these things now seems to incorporate into their design. Impossible to remove an ID from those little clear rubber thingys with gloves on at the gate...nifty idea...but thanks Bin Laden for ruining it. I could live without "ICON" plastered across the back...or any other brand name that has copied it.
My brother got my nephew a nice looking jacket that actually has air bags in it to help aleviate the concerns the mom had ( along with msc and supervised tract training). It deploys to protect your neck and back. You attach a lanyard to the bike and if you go down it activates. He used about six months later when he dumped his metric at 50mph, no road rash or broken bones. The they sent it back and they restore the gas and repack it for like 60 bucks. Pretty cool. Think on sale $ 350. Can't remeber the name but if your interested I can get it.
I have an Icon Dead Man's Hand Jacket...the story behind it is really cool. and its got lots of little hidden details...like a saint christopher(keeps us safe) medallion hidden inside a secret gun pocket over the heart..its pretty sweet imo
I have the Strongarm jacket also bought because a the time it had a removable liner and it is sewn with kevlar thread, the sizing is small so ended up with a xxl, wear it from time to time very comfortable now a little snug to the chubby parts
+1 Strongarm. Pulled the armor out of elbows and shoulders and ripped the patches off the shoulders. Solid jacket...scored mine for around $125 you know where. happy with it.
