Default yup

I believe that is what has happened however I did notice in the instructions it shows the ECM on the rear fender (instruction sheet of the 04A missing from the 04 instruction sheet.

Do not know bud ... somehow something just is not right. If the box was already opened all you have to do is print a copy of the installation instructions. Maybe you got one of the last 04 ones and the packer did not know the difference and started packing the 04A instructions with them.

I took some photos of my 04A Rally Runner and there is definitely a notch for the ECM. I am learning something here too. I always wondered why my saddlebags fit using this saddle and not the Sidekick ... the yoke for the saddlebags fit in the notch for the ECM allowing for a better fit.

There's a depression in my Sidekick seat for the ECM.

You could always relocate your ECU.. I know thats a pain in the @$$ for a fix.. but I would rather do that then worry about cracking the ECU housing and having to worry about water..

but thats just my .02

Default Just got off the phone

Just got off the phone with Milwaukee and their tech staff said there was a modification with the seats made after 2007 so the one I have will have to have part of the bottom part cut to accomodate the ECM. Since I bought the seat off ebay (very good deal) I will make the mod at home. Thanks to all!!!!!

Looks like you got the sidekick custom seat there, not the sidekick seat.

Looks exaclty like a regular sidekick to me...I should know, I have one of those POS... But it's lacking the ECM accommodations.
