I've seen lots of pics at all angles but I can't see any difference between the older EVO highway pegs and the most recent ones. I know the frame is different but the mounting plate looks the same.

Anybody know what the difference is?

Is it a clearence issue with the exhaust on the right side or simply a different mounting plate? My 00 had the 3 holes on the plate for the adjustable pegs all I did was unbolt the stock highway pegs and bolt on the adjustable ones.

Maybe the 04 on up require a plate with the holes to mount the adjustable pegs?

 

Yes, the 04 and up have a set of large spacers between the mounting plate and the frame. They are also considerably more expensive.
