Default A\C Questions from a Newbie

I have an '09 883N (Iron) and my son bought me a SE Stage 1 A\C for it. I have stock pipes and no plans up upgrade those for a while (money is tight).

I have a few questions that I could sure use some help on.

1) How difficult is it to install this A\C? It seems pretty straightforward from what I have seen but I am not mechanic.

2) Does this require an upgraded map if installed?

3) When I asked the service person at the local dealer question 2 they told me that without pipes and a tune the A\C was pointless and could cause problems. So, does the A\C alone add anything and will it cause issues?

Thanks for any guidance you can provide.

Seems like the general rule on here is that if you only do one then your ok but iam no expert. That means if you just do the Stage I your ok, or if you just do the pipes your ok. But if you do the stage I and the pipes then you need to do something. But thats just me and iam no expert.

As for installing the Stage I it is very simple just an air filter and some bolts nothing anyone couldn't do.

The a/c is very easy to install, under 1 hour. If you not changing the pipes, you do not have to re-map.

A/C is an easy install. I would just wait until the funds are available for pipes and re-map the EFI.

Doing the AC before the pipes is kind of *** backwards, it's generally accepted that pipes only requires no remap/programer but pipes and AC do.
If you are going to put the AC on first I would buy a PC5 from fuelmoto and have it programed for that setup, then when you do add the pipes you can get a new map for that setup.
What ever you do make sure you use locktite on all the fasteners, several on here have had a screw come loose from the AC and get sucked into the motor causing huge damage to the piston & cylinder.
