correct usage of motorcycle jack?
So I got this Motorcycle jack for christmas and put it together and havent gotten to use it. Today I got my chance. It is from harbor freight and works great. I have included some pics and after you look at the pics my question is under the pics.

Should I have used straps to secure the gas tank?
By the way it worked great to drop the tank while it was full of gas although I did empty it before installing it.

It is from harbor freight. $79.00 and I havent gotten to try it on the bike yet. I needed to change the fuel pump with no help and a full tank. I know other jacks tend to let the tank fall but the pads on the motorcycle jack kept it straight and did great.
btw the question was meant to be a joke. I guess nobody got it.

I've had the same lift for about a year now. Works good for the Sporty except the bike has to be put up on 1" boards for the lift to fit under. I slide it under from the exhaust side and have found a solid place to position the bike where tie downs aren't necessary, though I still use them.
