tour pak on a nighster

I actually have a Tour-Pak that I mount on my 2007 Nightster. It goes on a quick-detach rack as I HATE the way it looks. However, I do enjoy a couple of weekends on the road each year. I haven't found anything that looks any better (all luggage looks bad on the Nightster IMO) and goes away as quickly and keeps my **** dry.

Set the bike up however you want it.
Here's an option.
Detachable hardware, Rack and biker's friend or similar waterproof hard bag. I was able to take the whole rack off, and just have the base nightster to ride while camping and traveling. Good luck. HTH.

I new i would get some people fired up with this question. I wont have it on there all the time. But when i need to carry some stuff or head out overnight need some place to put some stuff. I am a firm believer of to each there own. If I am not mistaken I am making the payments not someone else. just looking for some input. Cheers PERK

For the people saying he should do what he wants and not worry what people think, umm he did ask us what we think
I think it will look like boiled dog crap but then so does the detachable windshield I have for my bike. If you have it detachable and only use it once in a great while, like I do with my windshield, I think it would be acceptable to the Harley Gods.

You wanted input, but yet when you got it, and it didn't agree with your ideas.....then you got defensive??
My input........
If you feel a need to make your bike look like crap (in my, and many others opinion), just do what this *guy* did. He can carry a bunch of stuff.https://www.hdforums.com/forum/sport...rt-bagger.html

Tara - Happy Birthday young lady,
To liquidate the $$ to add to the other $$ to get the ULTRA. The OL saw the ElectraGlides, and said we need one of those. I HAD to get one for HER to be happy.
The Nighty with the right accessories is a solo blast! You know that already, so I would be preaching to the choir. That set up with the rack, detach hardware, side plates and sissy bar is expensive. I was really happy on solo trips set up like that. I was able to change the configuration out pretty quick.
The best compliment I got was on a Highway rest stop in Vermont. An older man, easily in his late seventies, walked over and grinned. He said... that looks just like one of my old bikes. He sat on it, and just grinned away. He raved, and raved about riding back in the day. The fuel injection start blew him away... he was speechless. When he finally walked away, he kept looking back. That was pretty cool.
Set the bike up anyway you want. That is what sportys are all about!! It's personal.
