Mid brake control pictured:
The mid brake lever's pivot point is towards its bottom. The forward lever has the pivot on the side. The shorter mid brake rod has pivot joints that are nearly perpendicular - the forward's ends are parrallel. The pin for the break lever (top of photo) is longer on the forwards set. I'm guessing 42652-04 Right Side Brake Peg Mount 2004-present $38.95 does not include the longer pin or brake lever. The shift lever for forwards is waaaay different than mids. Maybe I'm missing something here, but I'll wager you're going to need more than those four part #s.
Let us know how it goes and post a pic.

malla1962, I do not understand your comment. 1lowsporty has submitted very useful imfo. Your comment is not necessary. Ya ever hear, speak when your spoken to. I get tired of unecessary comments. Stick to the subject.

I don't get it?? You post just about the same thing as malla did......good info, useful info. But yet you chastise him for an unecessary post?? Tell him to only speak when spoken to. And stick to the subject??

You certainly don't follow what you preach!

Finally. Some reality checks in. Everybody wishes they could put forwards on for a buck-fitty. I don't believe in the Tooth Fairy, either.

yeah, do all the sporty pegs fit all sportys? I don't like the price at the dealer, and if I can get those new mounts for that cheap im headin over there tomorrow. So the 1200C's peg mounts (from the frame) WILL fit the Nightster/ Iron???

The forward control frame mounts will fit any Sportster from 2004 until now. So what? You're not going to have a functioning set of forwards by purchasing four parts with $150 from Harley Davidson. Read the entire thread and look at the link in post #s 25 and 27.
THERE'S A LITTLE BIT OF MIS-INFORMATION IN THIS THREAD. DON'T THINK YOU'RE GETTING OFF CHEAP!
I don't know how else to say it.

These are referenced from the Harley parts manual. I used my 2007 Low to try this out and it works perfect. You are saving money by not buying the pedals and one shift linkage part which are already on your bike. Just ask for these parts off of a C model to make it easy, they are all interchangeable.

Left Side Shift Peg Mount 2004-present $35.95
Right Side Brake Peg Mount 2004-present $38.95
Shift Linkage Rod 2004-present $28.00
Brake Rod 2004-present $36.30
Total $139.20!
If you want a Chrome set of peg mounts, you can get them for $94.99 or $20.00 more!
These are list prices,so if you get a HOG discount or some type, you can save even more.
The only thing you have to do is loosen your transmission shift arm, remove the peg and point downwards to connect your shift rod.
Hope this helps someone.
Based on the latest posts, I guess the title of this thread is a bit misleading since the 4 parts alone won't convert my mids to forward controls.

1lowsporty- Since you were able to successfully perform this mod, can you post pics of your forward controls.
