Do not forget about the 20% off sales. The local dealers have 20% off sales on a regular basis ... also Chicago and Surdyke HD's offer 20% off on Internet sales.

Fatguy-little bike
You want to find passenger peg mounts off a softail which are cheap on eBay
They are for an 09 softail but they have a 3/8"bolt which is the same size needed to mount them in the spot where forward controls go and they are already black which goes with the Nightster. Just put a washer on first and they mount right up. Nice and rigid fit. They sit about 1/2 inch lower than the mid-control This setup allows for a lot of stretch room. and They blend in well with the bike and are hidden nicely when folded up.

I've been trying to picture this in my head, and it sounds good except for one problem,, wouldn't you need to buy a new shift lever as well? Turning the existing shift arm downward and hooking the linkage to it sounds good,, but now what mounts to the peg to shift with?

If you already have highway pegs....just adjust your mid control shifter up a bit and use the back of your heal to up shift and full heal to down shift....works pretty good till a guy can get a set of fwd controls...i very rarely miss a shift

Hey Lowsporty
I got the softail pass. pegs & your right, the bolts supplied mount right up... awesome. My question is did you use the extrended 5" pegs ?. I used the standard pegs & my right leg touches the exhaust. I have the V&H Short Shots. I noticed you have a different exhaust. Did you modify the mounts some how? or maybe your exhaust is closer to the engine ?

Did anyone find the P/Ns for the black F/C parts? A buddy of mine wants them and depending on who is working the parts counter, he may have a hard time just telling them he wants the Low parts

brettnbama-
1200N responded with the part numbers in the first page of this thread. I priced it from Surdyke's and the total for all 4 items was $107.36 + Shipping (no tax for me since I don't live in Wisconsin).

The prices 1200N listed below are retail prices while Surdyke's gives you 20% off for internet sales -
42651-04 Left Side Shift Peg Mount 2004-present $35.95
42652-04 Right Side Brake Peg Mount 2004-present $38.95
34573-04 Shift Linkage Rod 2004-present $28.00
34581-04 Brake Rod 2004-present $36.30
