I've got a 2007 1200R that I'd like to put black baby apes on but the 1200R is not listed in the catalog as a fit. I asked the dealer parts man and he thought it was because the R has dual gauges, (the catalog photo shows just a speedo mounted).
Has anyone mounted baby apes to an R?

My partner has 18 inch bars on his Road King, it looks awsome

 

And my buddy has floorboards on his Yamaha. But none of this answers the question.

I would think that if you can use the stock risers, it would work.

 

it's not an R model but i would think its the same set-up

 

I can't see the gauges getting in the way, they are well forward of the risers...maybe they just don't think that you should put apes on an R really more of a custom thing.
