Hi OceanState401, IMHO I do believe you will be quite happy. I am running the 1.75" rush slip-ons and I couldn't be happier. Good nice tone, definitely louder than stock, loud enough to trip a car alarm now and then. I was actually hoping for something just a bit quieter since I ride out at 5 am and don't want to upset the neighbors too much.
Good luck and post up some pics if you get 'em.

You should be very happy with the Rush mufflers, as they are a high quality item that also has a great tone.
I'm running the Rush 2.0" baffle mufflers on some of my Harleys, and the original "for off road use only" Screamin' Eagle 2 mufflers on other Harleys. The tone is very much alike, a nice deep tone without any of that tinny sound you get with some replacement mufflers.
And just like with the original SE2 mufflers, with the Rush it's very simple to install either a larger or smaller diameter baffle to vary the tone. Just remember that the 'larger the baffle' the 'larger the tone'....
Also, my Harley mechanic friend has done quite a bit of dyno's on various Harley's with the Rush mufflers, and they have found that on the newer EFI models if you stay with 2.0" diameter baffles or smaller (such as the 1.75") you will be good to go without having to download a new program to the 'puter.
Here is a picture of my WideGlide which is running the Rush Baloney Cut mufflers with 2.0" baffles;

Let me toss a Softail comment in here too ... I just put a new set of Rush slip-on mufflers on my Fat Boy last week. I went with the 1.75" baffles, as I wanted a bit more sound than stock and (per some other comments here) I didn't have to have the engine remapped.
The sound of these are great !!! I wanted louder but not obnoxious, which is exactly what these give me.
You'll see a picture of the bike in my signature line with the new mufflers installed. You'll also notice the heat shields -- those are stock H-D heat shields, so you can reuse your shields instead of buying new.
Based on my experience so far, I say go for it. Agreeing with the other comments, stay with a 2.0" diameter baffle or smaller if you want to keep the engine stock.
Hope this helps.
