I have the 1250 kit and i think its worth it if not for just the fact that you dont have to have your bike down while you wait on your jugs to be bored out. NRHS has great parts and like someone else mentioned Dan is a very good guy to deal with.

Never even heard of a Boss Hoss until this thread so googled for some pics and WOW, those look pants-on-head-retarded. I bet they cost a pretty penny too.

"Look at me! I look like a midget on an obese motorcycle and I have to compensate for my small dick with this hideous thing between my groins."

I think it's also weird because I'm so accustomed to seeing the fat guy sitting on the motorcycle, not the other way around

When I saw them at Sturgis they were starting at 40k. Much rather have a Big Dog if I had 40k to spend on a bike.

Now the Big Dogs are nice! I like the K-9 model.

I got an estimate from the Harley Dealer that is running a special on engine upgrades. They quoted me $1,250, plus any incidental clamps etc that might be needed. That included labor, and was 25% off (both parts and labor) what they would normally charge.
Hey sportyPig... when you did your conversion did you reinstall the original 883 stock heads?... I imagine you went with the Iron Lined Aluminum cylinders kit.... I wonder how a stock 1200cc nightster engine compares against a 1250cc with stock 883 heads.... just curious because there is a big price difference between just the cylinder/pistons kit and the Stage2/Stage3 kits...

Also... I noticed you did the conversion back in 2009... how is the kit working for you?... any issues.?... oil consumption?.. heat dissipation?... thanks !!!
