Default Least expensive Cool modifications! Upside down mirrors (free) or?

Hey Gang, I just did the upside down mirror switch, not only does it look cool, but i can actually see better out of the mirror. cost free & only 10 minutes

I now need to do the front blinker relocation, to clean up the front end.
I want the blinkers close to the forks which is the best kit to use?

Any other inexpensive cool ideas appreciated! 06 1200R

Chopping your fenders is damn near free if you already have a dremmel with some cut off wheels or a jigsaw with a metal blade and some masking tape.See similar thread farther down the page.

An inexpensive mod is the ever popular tank lift and coil relocation too. It can easily be done with around $10-20. The most expensive part is usually the new plug wires.

Oh and there are also pretty cheap turn DIY signal relocation kits. Check out this thread:

Default Thanks joe fox4

Hey Joe, thanks that was the link i was looking for.
My bike is a little camera shy right now, kind of stock. I will post pics when i get her modded up a little.
The bike is a 2006 1200 Roadster and I love the dirt tracker style, but am trying to get it a little more nightstered. It has the 06 black engine so it has great nightster like potential.
I am trying to decide on handlebars, they are chrome dirt tracker like bars now, I dont know if I should try black flat style bars or go with the black nightster bars(a little more upright). hummm?
Also need some black pipes?

Default nuts and bolts

Some of the Standard nuts and bolts that bolt on the bits and pieces are really crappy looking and the aftermarket replacement's,
"well damn I paid for the bike already"
I covered the standard the Allen heads with dome caps you get them in stainless and chrome,I drilled them out the "threaded dome caps" to cover the heads and glued them in place.
If they have to be removed you can just turn them off with a wrench.
I filled the Allen slots with some sticky putty so as to make life easier when they had to be removed.
Cost a couple of cents each...... reward plenty.

Just about all of my mods were free or next to nothing. Except grips, intake and exhaust obviously. Although I am looking into making some pipes (just got a new die for the pipe bender!)

Tucking wires. There are a few threads about it here and there. Pretty much, take the tank off, throw some wire conduit over the existing wires, tape it up and tuck it up as close to the backbone as you can and zip tie it down. That mixed with the previously mentioned ignition relocation really makes for a sweet looking bike.
