Default Problem rejetting carburator

I just purchased the Screamin Eagle air cleaner kit (29042-04A) and Dynojet kit (29045-97B) for my 05 Sportster. I was under the impression that the dynojet kit would include both main jets and slow jets for rejetting my carb, but all I can find in it are the main jets (160-190).

The kit was $75, so if all I need are the needles can I just buy them separately? This kit seems like overkill for me since it has some other parts that require taking the top of the carb off to replace them. I really don't want to get into that...

I already have the SE-II slip-ons so I was going to try #45 and $170 jets in the carb. Does this sound about right?

I bought the same Dyno- Jet kit .
Comes with alot of extras .
My Sportster is a 04 ( rubber mount )
What year is yours ?
I added a Arlen Ness big sucker stage II AC Kit.
Also installed Vance & Hines short shot staggered . ( Luv Um...)
Anyways I ended up going with the 45 idle jet and a 180 main jet .
My 883XL came with a 175 main jet from the factory .
I never used the Dyno-jet kit .
Any one intrested in it for $65.00 ??????
I also drill out the plug for the idle / air mixture screw and reajust it .
Runs great . Good luck with yours....[8D]

I know its frustrating. I did the same thing. I ended up with a 180 main and 48 slow. I first tried a 45 and that was still a little lean. I had carb farts untill the motor was hot and even then an occasional one. I then tried a 48 slow and that was it. I still have to run 93 octane or it will diesel but no carb farts at all. Finally!!!

So, I can buy the jets individually from the dealer without this kit? Is there anything special needed to install them?
