suspended registration...
So, apparently my insurance lapsed for longer than 30 days, as soon as I realized it, I got new insurance. I figured that would be enough, but apparently I was suppose to act by sending proof to the state. Well, I found out the hard way, (got pulled over) that my registration is now suspended for 3 months. Anyone know any work arounds or familiar with this?

actually, yeah, "we" are that bad.
The DMV is an incredibly powerful, ruthless bureaucracy with little oversight.
They will suspend registration, suspend your license, etc etc...
hope the OP doesn't have to tile an SR22 now because insurance will cost more

just more examples of the tyranny of government
I'm possibly going to have to SR22 soon, unless I can just ride out my suspension
interesting that even in situations that had NOTHING to do with you not being insured, you still have to prove that you're insured. I haven't had an insurance lapse...well crap...in easily 20+ years...I get a violation that has NOTHING to do with insurance, and have to SR22?
it's a scam. nothing else. a complete racket, and we just sit and take it.

Check with your DMV. You can either take the suspension or pay $ per day for every day of your lapse. You would need to bring your current insurance as proof of the date when you had insurance so they can calculate the fine. This is from my neighbor who is the County Clerk for DMV where I live.

Insurance & Registration in Australia.
Just reading & asking why? Here in Australia it is Not Compulsory to have Vehicle Insurance. Be it 3rd Party Property or Full Comphehensive. With Registration we have Cover if we do harm to Passenger,Occupants or other Person. .I recon that here it should be Compulsory to have either 3rd Party Property or Full Comprehensive on ANY Vehicle..This years ago I experienced when a Man ran into a Car I had. He had NO Insurance & I had to chase him for Damages Cost to the Car. Back April when a female ran into the Rear of my Bike. I was Lucky! she had Insurance which Paid for All Repairs to my Bike..Like I said! Australian Laws need to be changed & ALL Vehicles & Motorbikes Should have Insurance..As it is my Ins is around $37.Aust per Mth for Full Comprehensive..Rego 1yr was $417.Aust .
