Im used to starting my bike up with it in gear and the clutch in.

I switched bars...and now my bike will only start in neutral....at first i thought i was pinching a wire somewhere...nope...everything works fine...

what am i missing?

 

On the inside of the clutch lever, there is a small button. When pushed, it allows the bike to start in gear. Is your lever engaging that switch? If you changed levers, make sure the new one has the capability of engaging the button, some levers don't do that. I know, I bought some from JP Cycles that were supposedly for my bike, but had to replace them because of this problem.

Simple douche answer would be to put it in nuetral than. LOL or just do like kahaone said. Hope it works
