Keep doing what you are doing.......I lived in an apartment in New Orleans back in '81. I always parked my scoot in the living room at night. I would wait until dark and then roll it inside-then roll it back outside the next morning. My wife never complained.

One night as I was rolling it inside, the apartment manager happened to walk by and tossed a fit, so I had to leave it outside....Sure nuff it was gone next morning, but at least it was insured.

I took the insurance money and bought a new Yamaha Seca....It was stolen in less than a month.......Yeah, park that sucker inside.....You can always replace the old lady, but your scoot is special.

Damn I dont know what I would do in a neighborhood like that. Not knockin where you live but it makes me glad I live in a small town. I still leave my keys in my car at nights, still leave the doors unlocked. Although I have a garage now, before I did I kept my bike in the spare bedroom just to keep it out of the weather.

Sometimes you gotta do what ya gotta do. An electrician friend of mine in TX used to park his on his front porch (board over like 5-6 steps then chained to the steel railing. He rigged up one of those gas station bell things (drive over it, bell rings) not sure how he did it but he had it where the bike was parked on it so if it was moved it would sound off & lights would come on. Not only that but he rigged it to unlock the "doggie door" so his 2 Rotties could get out. I'm sure it would not be a pretty picture if you happened to be on that porch when those 2 bears came out.

Back when I lived in apartments I had 3 bikes stolen....And if not stolen, then somebody had vandalized them....Those days sucked.

I live out in the country in Lousiana now. Noboby dares screw with my chit out in these woods. I keep 3 new HD's either in the carport or in the shop and ain't no one ever touched them. I also have a Pit Bull that runs loose thru my pet door. She can usually be found sunning herself right out front or in the shade of the carport waiting for daddy to drive up.

If I had a 4 wheeler tho, it would be different. These hicks will tear down a brick wall to get to your 4 wheeler and even risk dog attack or a shotgun, LOL!

It sucks the measures you have to go to just to protect your hard earned rewards. Keep the bike safe!

Me too. Oh, but I still ride the scoot right through the sliding glass door into my rec room for storage though.

I make sure mine is in the garage every night. When I travel, I try to keep it close to the room I am in. However the best thing I do, is keep the insurance paid. If all else fails I will deal with my insurance people. Ride on Dudes and Dudettes!
