New to HDF and looking for some help. I want to remove the stock factory speedo and tach from the handlebars, relocating the speedo and eliminating the tach. The tach has the engine monitor lamp in it which illuminates when you turn the key on for 4 seconds and then goes out indicating it is okay to start the engine. Has anyone removed this type tach without creating problems with the engine? Or, maybe someone has removed the tach and added just an indicator light on the circuit?? I've called 3 HD dealerships and got 3 total different answers - not much help!!!
