After painting a/c cover with bbq paint do you guys put a clear coat on ?
just finished up the a/c cover with the rattle can wondering if you guys put a clear coat on after or is it good as is ? i want the flat black look and it came out awesome.

I would say a clear coat would be a good idea.. it may cut down of flaking off..

I painted mine with just regular rustoleom and didn't clear it and it is holding up ok. It's been a few years since I did it.

Just a SE A/C with the ham can taken off. The filter itself was silver and I just taped it off and hit it a couple times then screwed the Sportster plate back in using the "washers."

I have seen rattlecan clear flake more than anything. I wouldent clear it. I painted me motor with vht paint, no clear and it looks great.

I used Rustolium Industrial on the kitchen stove
and it is still holding up great

Bad idea. The clear coat will blister the BBQ paint you have shot on there. STEP AWAY FROM THE CAN!
