07 XL1200c Handlebar Conversion Question

Additional wires should not be required.
The reset on my bike and the OL's '04 is at a 4 o'clock position (when sitting on the bike). I don't know if they changed anything after that, but iirc the reset button is attached to wire leads that permits re-positioning. Take it apart, then you'll know.

Also I created a thread but havent got a reponse. Would it be possible to use z drag bars with the custom riser?

The existing handlebar control wires are long enough to go from a Low to a Custom riser/handlebar arrangement. The wires for your dummy lights should be long enough, too, but I can't say I know that for a fact.
For the Z-bars, your handlebar wires should be long enough to run them internally, but again, I don't know that for certain. There shouldn't be an issue with tank clearance. The Custom riser/handlebar clamp sits up pretty high.
