Sound like an issue with my carb..
Is there anyone else that has an issue with starting there bike without using the enricher.. I have to use it every time.. doesn't matter if its 30 or 130 outside.. I have to use it.. and If I dont.. it wont start..
my normal procedure.. get on the bike try to crank it without the enricher at least once.. usually twice.. if that doesn't work.. put the ****.. and it usually fires right up.. let it run for a min or 2 while I get my $h(# together.. and get going.. I have to ride about a mile or 2 before I push it in.. or it starts getting very temperamental and it doesn't matter how fast im going..
anyone else have an issue like this..
I thought it was just the nature of the beast.. until I ran across something on the web about not using your enricher unless its 50 or below.. and started getting me a little worried..
thanks guys

103* is not anywhere close to normal operating temperature, so yes, some enrichener use should be required and is normal.

I agree with cHarley..... Don't worry about it....
You could mess around with the pilot jet/adjustment (which controls the fuel mixture from idle to about 1/8 throttle), but it probably wouldn't help all that much. Plus, on the stock CV carbs the pilot jet adjustment is on the bottom of the carb, so it's a pain in the neck to even get to it...
If the engine is still fairly warm you could try leaving the enrichener (choke) off, open and close the throttle a couple of times (only about 1/4 throttle opening), and then see if it woiuld fire up. But it doesn't hurt to open the choke a little bit to fire up the bike as long as you don't leave the choke on too long....

See that's what I'm worried about.. is that I have to have the choke on for about a mile.. or so after it warms up all the way.. its almost like it idles too low for a while.. I've just gotten to the point now where with the choke out I can tell by how loud it it get when I can put it in.. if I put it in before that it kinda coughs and feels like its going to die.. regardless of how much gas I give it.
