Sounds typical to me. I almost always have to use enricher, unless the bike is totally warm, and it has only been stopped for a brief time in the Summer. In the winter, even if I've been on the interstate for 125 miles and just stop for fuel, I'll usually have to use the enricher just a little bit after the fuel stop.

There's nothing wrong with having to use the enrichener a lot and if your tank was full of rust so is your carb. Believe me; I've been there!!!

But you shouldn't have to use it after warm up, and for another mile (Warm to me is when I can feel heat in my rockerbox covers) Checked yoru plugs for color and gap? Sure you don't have an intake leak, or small port /passage clogged in the carb?

ok if you had rust in tank
1-replace fuel filter
2-aleast take bowl off carb and have looky (4 screws)
3-if all is good ride the thing
4-proper use of enricher (see below)
5-motor cold (full choke) and a twist of throttle
6-after start push choke in half way
7-and ride it (easy) for a few miles
8-push choke in and ride it.

good luck
