I am having trouble removing the front brake lever on an 05 883 Sportster. No problem getting the retaining clip and pin out, just removing the level. The lever is loose but does not want to pull out of the slot. Instructions indicated that removal of the switch housing was not required, but I am not sure what else to do to get the lever out. Any suggestions????

 

Loosen the screws holding the switch housing, and it should just fall out. Hope that helps.

 

Don't forget to wedge a piece of cardboard over the brake light switch or it WILL break off.
