Some people's children...
I've owned nothing but harleys for 40 some odd years and have had three Sportsters during that time. Currently I have a CrossBones and a 1200 Sportster...

To be honest I ride my Sportster more than the CrossBones... I can't help it... I just like it alot...

I'm 6'2" and 225 lbs...

well for an entry level bike a sportster is an excellent choice, yes it is a bit more compact of a bike but it can be modifyed to fit larger people i am 6'3 and with the right mods i fit semi decntly on my sporty, 7300 for a sporty is way to much you can get them around here between 3500 and 5000

His point was to stir up the stinky pile of you-know-what. He got what he wanted.

I want to thank everybody for thier input. I think I'll watch the bike for a few weeks and then offer them what was suggested here. THANK YOU! Just to clarify, I am a new rider of just over 3 years and did take the state MSP class. I then caught an amazing deal on a Honda Shadow Spirit 750 to learn on. I love the bike but I NEED A HARLEY!!!!! Thanks again, what a great forum!

You've been riding for 3 years? Get yourself a Dyna or a Softail!
