My sisters boyfriend is visiting me and brought his sportster with him from NJ. He wants to put mini apes on the bike. He has some
type of buckhorn bars now. All controls appear stock. He is on a budget.

Does anyone know what bars that are close to mini apes will fit without changing cables and lines. or a least only once cable or line. It seems like there is a decent amount of room to bring cables up. If you know what bars or even better a pn please post. I'd like to do this for under $150. I'm not charging him labor obviously.

If he has buckhorns now he can put longhorns on without changing cables.
I did this on my bike, big difference as the longhorns are wider.

 

Are the longhorns a harley part or some other mfg?

 

Harley part, don't know the number but they are in the HD catalog.

 

How mini is mini.... 10", 12, 13"???....

Cables probably.... front brake line... pretty sure....

I just spent $353 on my bike for w/g mini's... had to have all the cables, brakeline, extending the wiring harness

There is an awful lot of "ifs" you need to find out before you start....
