Default Remove passenger pegs

Before I get slammed on the seemingly easy thing to do.. I have checked my manual twice page for page and cant seem to find anything on it..

I have a 98 Custom and trying to remove not just the passenger pegs but the post that they connect to?

anyone run into this before..

Take the foot-peg pivot pin out to remove the actual peg. Look inside the peg mount. There's a socket-head bolt in there. Use an allen wrench to get it out and remove peg mount.

Look at the pictures on this site. One of 'em shows the socket head going through the mount:

Ok, that makes sense.. I was wandering why they were just spinning and I didn't see any type of nut on the back.. the reason that I ask is that I have some peg from a dyna that I was going to try to use.. they are a about 1/2in longer and chrome.. but I don't thing there going to work because they use a nut to mount on the inside of the frame.. oh well worth a shot though..

thanks guys
