Of the 2 anniversary years, which do you all think will have a higher value in the long run?

Just wondering...

There will be significant value if they make just one. "Stopped by the local dealer to look at used bikes and nearly every other one was the silver/black anniversary model.....the price was not up on those

I doubt it would command a special value. Now if they come out with a CVO model, it will cost more also, and command a premium. I doubt they would make a limited number of the regular models tho. Probably just a medallion or something that shows its an anniversary model.

Just my .02cents

IMHO, the 50th Year Model will be a true collector's item in about 5 years. Buy one and store it! ............ BC

IMHHHHO, I think the 50th will be more collectable than the 100th, BUT, with that being said, I think the 2006 Sportster (last of the carbs) will be more collectable than either. THAT's the one you should store in a vault for 20 years.

i think the 50th will be worth more..wasnt every harley made in 03 badged with the 100th logo? not all of the sportsters are gonna be 50th models so i would say the 07 will be more collectable..just my opinion

If the information is of any use, when I was shopping for a Sportster I took a look at the used 1200C's I could find within a decent distance. Looking on e-bay and the classifieds, I could only find about 4 local Sportsters, 3 of which were black 2003 Anniversary Sportsters and one of which was a white 2005. The asking price on one of the 2003's was a bit on the high side, but the other two didn't seem to be marked up for being anniversary editions. I, personally, wrote those off since I liked the idea of the rubber engine mounts they started to use in 2004.

As someone else said, if they move to EFI on the 2007's, then the 2004-2006 models could be collectors items as the most comfortable carborated models.
