should i even consider mobil 1 10w 30 for my 07 883?

i use extra virgin...works just fine.....

hehe...nah we use amsoil at our shop...ive never tried mobil 1...to me oil is oil...as long as you get the right wieght.

You guys should really be using M1 VTWIN oil not car oil it's formulated differant. It only takes a little extra effert to find it and only costs a little more.
Why put the wrong oil in a bike you paid so much for???

hello there, thanks for all the replys i did take a nice long ride and today the oil looked much better back too the amber color no foamy looks , i do ride my bike all the time (only wheels i have) so i do get in the long rides but i also do a 10-15 minute ride too/from work every day and i guess i had some moisture built up but it evaporated , and ill be getting my jugs of M1 at wally world , $21.00 around here . i really want to thank all of you for the input , its greatly appreciated , ride safe everyone

Obviously you don't read much on the VOA or UOA threads posted here and elsewhere on the formulation differences between the the 2 Mobil-1 "labels". If you did, you would know that the difference between the 2 is insignificant.

Yep, the "boutique" V-Twin labeled stuff at twice the price is targeted for folks like you that buy into the AD hype.

I'm glad it worked out for you. Just stop working so much, and don't forget to ride for that 100 mile hamburger now and then.

Mobil 1 15W-50 is fine for the motor.

but Dont use in the transmission.

You mean CONTEST, right?

And yes, Mobil-1 75-90 Gear Oil for the Primary/Tranny is my choice.
