Default what amsoil product in trans?

Just wondering what amsoil product you guys who are running amsoil are running in the trans on the sporties. Im switching the wifes sporty over to amsoil. The websight says to run the 20-50 but that worries me a little.

What websight? And what worries you? Not trying to be a smart azs, just trying to figure out your concern.

I don't use their products, but I think the engineers at Amsoil know lubrication better than anyone on this forum. I would trust their recommendations.

From their website - "The answer is for 883cc and 1200cc Sportster motorcycles, the AMSOIL Synthetic 20W-50 Motorcycle Oil is recommended for both the engine and transmission."

I have seen others recommend SVG 75W90 Severe Gear for the transmission. Claims to improve shifting over the 20W50. Also helps cure the typical "Clunk" when shifting. The reason for that is the Severe Gear has EP additives (Extreme Pressure) that motor oils do not. One dealer told me that the only reason that AMSOIL says you can use the 20W50 in the trans is in keeping in line with the Harley recommendation for SYN3. Just my 2 cents worth....
