i know the aftermarket sells guage buckets to install your speedo (which is electric, not cable), you can mount it to the bars between risers. or you can get all custom crazy and mount it with a guage housing and a custom bracket hung off the top of the motor, or down near the frame tube. ive seen people put speedos in all kinds of places. you just have to re-route your speedometer wires, they should be long enough to go almost anywhere. the harness plugs up under the gas tank, so figure the distance from there to the top of your handlebars, figure from there.
