Default Anyone have Cycle Shack pipes?

I was thinking about V&H, but I've seen quiet a few recomendations from "the experts" for these pipes. I also read somewhere that Cycle Shack made the SE slip-on pipes...so the only difference was that the pipes didn't have the SE stamp. (I can't seem to find it now.) Anyone else hear that? I'm starting to get the Stage 1 itch really bad...and I'm exploring all options.

I have read and heard many times on this forum that the SE slip-ons are made by V&H. As a matter of fact, when you look at them closely, they have the same workmanship and quality that V&H pipes have.....

Default RE: Anyone have Cycle Shack pipes?

I fiannly found the article on Sportster.org about Cycle Shack making SE pipes. Someone posted the article here recently. It outlines the typical staging for Sportster engine upgrades.

Question: Cycle Shack has 2 different pipe types to fit the 04 and later. One is 1 3/4 OD and the other is 2 OD. What does that mean?...What is the difference?

Thanks!

I read somewhere that the 1 3/4" pipe was better, but I can't remember where. Aging process, 1959 for me. Tim

I believe the 1 3/4 and 2" OD you are talking about will be DRAG PIPES. I would recommend sticking to the SLIP-ONS. They look and sound great w/out sacrificing performance. Just my opinion...
