Suit yourself . I tend to listen to the manufacturer who has been building bikes for over 100 years. Mine and yours included.

You should check the oil when it's hot! If you have oil in the air box you are running to much oil in the bike. Oil in the air box is not normal.
I'd worry if I didn't have a little oil on the inside of the air box. I'd say this is a sign of a healthy engine.

Yeah oil in the intake system sounds great! Sure thats good if you are talking about a Kawasaki triple! LMFAO!

Unless you keep your dip stick at the halfway or lower(each bike and riding style has its own sweet spot). Your the one wasting oil.
