Don't think I really noticed this 'plug' before, but does it happen to be a plug-in for the battery charger cables?
It runs up under the battery cover. I have my battery cover mounted very "snug" (so it won't fall off) and I don't want to remove it just to check on this connector.
If it is a connector for the charger cables, then it's the neatest thing I've seen since sliced bread.
I ride year round, and every Harley I've owned required removing the seat each evening during the winter to hook up the charger.![Wink](https://www.hdforums.com/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif)

Yup, it plugs right into a 110V AC "Battery Tender" that maintains a constantly topped-off battery and IS the greatest thing since sliced bread!![Big Grin](https://www.hdforums.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Then the next day you had to mess with installing the seat again before you could ride.
This 'external plug' is GREAT, and will sure save a lot of time AND cussing. LoL..

Does anyone know if this is a HD accessory? I got excited when I saw this post and ran out to look at my 05 1200 C but it doesn't have one. I think it's great. I know on my BMW I was able to just plug in the tender and would love to be able to do it on my Sportster.

After discovering this little jewel I just assumed it was something that came 'stock' with my '05 1200C.
