Default 1984 Sportster XLX Gen Light

OK, I checked the Gen,Battery,& volt pack. (Gen light )stays on i can run the bike roughly 100 mi shut her down for fueling and wait for a jump I believe it may be wiring however I had a bad battery last summer i replaced the battery, then had a local shop test the Gen that's when this problem began. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this sort of problem.

Have you checked the voltage regulator to make sure it's good, and made sure the generator is polarized correctly? Other than a wire loose somewhere, those are the prime suspects.
