Ness Big Sucker Back Plate Cracked-Help!
#41
Update: I called Arlen Ness to order just the back plate from them. I was connected to a real person who listened to what the problem was and checked on the part availability. He wasnt able to pull it up right away so he took my information and called me back. Part took about a week to come in and then they called me again to confirm what I need was the correct part.
I let them know that I purchased the unit new from JP cycles or somewhere similar back in 2009 and they offered to replace it under warranty. Sent me out the updated "REV B" part and only charged me for the gasket I requested.
Awesome customer service all around. It's rare that you see that these days so I figured I'd share.
Seems like the original part had a design flaw that they researched, redesigned, and follow up with their customers.
The new part seems to be much better built and is a thicker plate. I dont foresee having the same problem in the future.
