2008 Sportster 1200R Issues
Hi all,
A friend of mine has just purchased a 2008 Sportster 1200 R (Roadster). The other day when going to ride when starting up after a few seconds at idle in the driveway the bike stalls while sitting still in neutral. He starts up again and it happens again. We figured the engine must have been cold so we headed out, after about a minute his low fuel light came on. Is this a known issue? I know it was low on gas but it just didn’t seem normal (it stopped stalling after he topped it off). He also says the bike just rides/idles rough. As an aside, is this the same 1200 EVO engine in all the sporty’s? Any known problems with these? Any feedback is appreciated, Rob
