Dakota Digital had a booth set up at Sturgis this year and I gotta tell ya, their stuff is very cool looking. Pricy, but cool! I currently use Dakota Digital recalibration units in both my 1999 XL883 and in my 2007 XL883 as I have removed the stock HD Transmission Drive Pulleys and installed HD 30 Tooth Transmission Drive Pulleys and they were as about as plug and play as you can get and the set up was quick and very easy and now my stock HD Speedometers are displaying the corrected actual speed. Very helpful when there is a LEO following you. Ha!

Interesting point as I'm also looking at getting one. Maybe if you buy it but take it down a stealer to install? They could then verify the mileage you put on the new speedo is correct. Although not sure if they would install a non HD part. Warranty wise, I'm Sure a tach couldn't have a lot to do with making mechanical/body warranty claims. Thoughts anyone?

I am still seriously looking into getting the Dakota Digital blue. Especially now that my fuel light comes on all the time no matter how much gas is in the tank. I would much rather have that light shining in low blue than bright yellow.
