Oil and Battery Covers
Anyone ever try to paint the side covers? My battery cover fell off and got chewed up by the road. I would like to paint it, but am not sure if this is a good idea or not.

Bare metal
Mine are chewed down to bare metal in a couple of spots......does this mean I have to sand it all the way down, or should I use a filler?

Get the chrome covers, the battery cover comes with the new clips.

Had mine powder coated. Probably wouldn't be cost effective if you're just doing those but if you had a few other things in mind...something to consider.

They can be painted. If they are chewed up you will need to use some filler.
