I'm looking for a stock front mag wheel for my 2007 1200R.
I've found one off a 1999 Sporty.
I know HD made their major changes to the Sportster in 2004 but I'm unable to find when the wheels changed.

Anyone know if a 1999 wheel will fit a 2007?

The bearings changed in 2000, but that's an easy and relatively cheap fix. Everything else should be the same. I'm pretty sure the hubs weren't changed until '08 (I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong on that).

 

A 2007 mag wheel with rotor just sold on e bay for $81 plus $30 shipping.....just after I bought one off a '04 for $91...ha ha.
Yep.....something's different in '99....'00 to '07 are the same, I think.

You just need to consider the axle size used up front during the various years.

The front axle on the 1999 Sportsters were 3/4".

In 2005 they went from a 3/4" axle to a 1" axle.

In 2008 they started using a 25mm hollow axle.

But I did not know about the 25mm change in 08.
