Default Rinehart Exhaust

I just ordered my new Rinehart Slip-Ons for my 08 Nighster. I am planning on doing an A/C next but havent decided which one yet. Do I need to do the Re-Map before or after the A/C? I was planning on doing it after b/c I didnt the exhaust would make that much of a difference other than the sound.

i've researched the forums about this. So before anybody says "search," this is what conclusion i have come up with. Its basically 50/50. Half say, they're just slip ons and you won't need to remap. The others (including BUB's reco' is REMAP). So... that basically doesn't help much does it. I just put some on my 09 IRON about two weeks ago and the bike drives well. You'll notice that if you shift to 2nd during lower-revs, it'll mildly stutter (losing back pressure i guess? from what i read.) Performance gains? I don't notice too much, but the gains are in the mid-high end. The pipes are LOUD. Installs pretty easy, and i did use the copper/silicone sealant. I don't get a pop during decel (yet at least).

I don't know what your plans are, but i'm thinking about a SE Stage 1 with Power Commander, but not just yet. After you slap em on, let me know what you think of them. Some days... i want to put the stock ones back on. GL.

Your stock computer will support an exhaust and air cleaner change the bike will just run real lean. I'd do the re-map after the air cleanerchange, but if you really want it to run better get a SERT or something similar and a good dyno tune the re-map is just a bandage.

Go to the sponsor's page here on this site, and check out fuelmoto. Jamie (the owner of the company) will sell you single components or give you a great price on a package deal, and he'll program the fuel management system for you. You WON'T need a dyno. Once jamie programs the thing for you you'd only be wasting your hard earned money on a dyno. You'd have to search long and hard to hear anybody here say anything negative about Jamie or fuelmoto. Superb knowledge and customer service.
