I have a 1992 harley sportster 1200 just had an s&s carb put on it a few weeks ago....I just noticed some oil on the inside of the s&s air filter cover is that norm for oil to be getting in the carb from the breather tubes????

I hope its norm!! i just got the bike have not had a harley before so its new to me. I know the last guy that had the bike had the stock carb on it but had the breather tube routed away from the carb. but my mechanic said to go with the s&s carb he said it is much better for the bike. Now im going to put baffels in my drag pipes to get the mid range HP back! Will see how that works out.
