Just SE air cleaner
I had stage 1 done, pipes and S.E. air cleaner, untill the police around here starterd coming down hard on anything BUT stock pipes,so rather than constantly waiting to get nailed and pay my $250.00 fine and having to put them on anyways, I was forced to put the ugly, quiet stockers back on! UUURRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!- My ? is, without the pipes, and just the SE air cleaner, will there be ANY? improvement over bone stock??? Big ole bummer!!!

RE: Just SE air cleaner
Im not sure there would be much improvement from the stock air cleaner but I do think you might have to have it rejeted when you put the stock mufflers back on if you had some pretty open ones put on when you had the stage one done.Maybe somebody else can answer this better. But I think with more air being able to come in but not being able to flow out as well I dont think there will be a real big difference.

I also got the stage 1 kit and slip on's etc. Im just waiting my time till the cops here pull me over too, thing is i have also got a small number plate. THe exhaust and plate were supplied and fitted by the dealer, so i will use that excuse first, i will probably have to get the stock ones put back on also. I take it that you need to change the jet back also.

If you're looking for an aftermarket slip-on that isn't overly loud, try the Vance & Hines straght shots WITH the optional quiet baffle. I believe they are in the legal limit but still have a good Harley sound. I had the baffles in mine but pulled them out cause I thought the bike was too quiet....

Is there a difference between the HDstage I air cleaner and the one that comes with SE 95" stage II?
