thanks guys. yeah, hitting the car would not have been better. I was very lucky I walked away with only these injuries and able to keep law suits and insurance out of it. I should have been wearing my jacket, but it was a beautiful day in GA on Sunday and I just didnt wear it. I think after picking out the gravel from my arms, I've learned my lesson.
I went to the shop that I pushed the bike to and it isnt as bad as I thought. It has a dented gas tank, bent bars, and messed up controls, but after changing a few fuses, it started right up.
I'm going to order my Burly narrow 14" bars and the longer cables, lines, etc this week. Probably going to flat black the bike and fix the tank myself. I'm thinking about doing some old school scallop racing stripes on the tank and try not to rip off of GoinSidewayz bike too much.
That is a sweet bike though man and I heard your changing it anyway.

I'll update pics through the process.

Bummer to hear dude. You'll have the bike in great shape and the scars will be a great story to tell over some beers.

Glad to hear it wasn't worse.
Heal up and ride on

Wow. Looks bad but I guess it could always be worse. Glad you and the bike can both be fixed.

I wear my leathers in the middle of summer when it's 90 outside. But, I'm an old guy.

Heck, Al, now you got some battle scars. When you tan the scars will show up and the girls will wonder how you got em. Makes a great ice breaker.

That's a real drag; the same thing happened to me a couple weeks back, but I avoided the rash b/c I had on a flannel shirt and a leather vest. the guy didn't stop for me either, but I ran him down... on the shoe leather express and got his info. Other drivers just can't be trusted. Makes a guy want to

i'm glad you're OK, and the bike is fixable
