Default Iron front suspension

Was out on the wifes 883 low iron. Is there anything that can be done to the front suspension to improve the ride. Hard to decribe, but feels like there is no dampining. Very rough. I have a 79 yamaha that rides better. Would progressive springs help. I like the bike in general but the suspension is lacking something.

Yes the progressive springs will help. I'm sure someone will chime in with a good weight fork oil to use also.

On my Nightster I went with the standard Progressive fork springs when I changed out the rear shocks to 11" 412s. Made a world of difference especially on the crappy streets around Denver. You won't regret it.

I went with standard but I had to have some spacers in there to match. I'm 210 lbs and almost 6'4" tall. I have the rear suspention about 1.5" taller than stock

Default forks

How bout a set of brand new Ohlins R&T forks and a pair of radial mounted calipers? The wheel is an 09~10 XR1200 OEM 18". If the wheels are too heavy (15 lbs) than we can set you up with a set of carbon fiber 17" wheels. Ya, I'm kidding you, undoubtedly you do not like the color of gold.

That set up alone (Above) will cost you in the 2k dollar range plus another 1k for the CF Wheels. Had both them on my Sportbike
